Auto Stop Race
The Auto Stop Race is a one-of-a-kind adventure where participants must reach a selected European city using only hitchhiking. More than 1,000 people take part in the race, traveling in pairs and relying on their resourcefulness to make it to the finish line.
At the final stop—a vibrant camping site—participants are rewarded with an epic celebration featuring concerts by famous artists and exciting attractions organized by the event team. As the largest event of its kind in Europe, the race is designed for students, encouraging them to embrace active travel, build confidence, and fuel their passion for exploration.
For its 11th edition, the race led participants to the remote Greek island of Evia. The exact coordinates of the campsite were revealed just 24 hours before the start, while the final destination had been announced back in February. Reaching the finish line was no easy feat, even for seasoned hitchhikers, as the race coincided with Orthodox Easter, making the journey even more challenging!
